Two motorcyclists miraculously survived a horrific accident involving four vehicles on the Kuala Lumpur-Kuala Selangor Highway (LATAR), today.
The accident happened near the Kundang Barat Toll Plaza heading to Sabak Bernam, at about 11:30 AM, after the two motorcyclists failed to dodge a car that had suddenly changed lanes without prior notice. The victims, both men aged 44 and 32, were left with injuries and a broken leg, while the car driver only sustained minor injuries.
According to the head of the Selangor Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), Superintendent Azman Shari'at, the car in question wanted to overtake a truck, which led to the collision between it and the two motorcyclists.
"As a result of the collision, the car driven by a 43-year-old man lost control and swerved to hit the road divider on the left and right side of the lane before colliding with a lorry in the left lane," he said in a statement.
Fortunately, Azman said, the 37-year-old lorry driver was not injured. Watch the video here:
