Based on a report by Harian Metro, in the wee hours of Sunday morning (19th September 2021), a lady was awaiting her husband by the roadside, after getting off a bus from Negeri Sembilan.

Suddenly, she was approached by a suspect who was riding a motorcycle. He snatched her handbag and attempted to make an escape. Thankfully, the victim's husband who was already nearby, witnessed the crime and went after the suspect with his Myvi.

He rammed it into the thief's bike, making him fall off it. The suspect then tried to flee, but was tackled by the victim's husband.

"There was a scuffle between the suspect and the husband, but with the help of two passerby(s), he was detained," said Kota Bharu district Police Chief.

Besides a left-ear injury to the victim's husband, everyone else was not put in harm's way. The suspect though, did hurt both his hands, knees and was taken into the hospital for treatment.

The case was investigated and he was found with a transparent bag containing powder, which was believed to be drugs. Testing positive for meth, the suspect has also since had 14 prior records relating to drugs and criminal offences.
