A frustrated woman vented her anger after being stuck in a parking lot at a shopping mall in Johor Bahru for nearly two hours, likening the traffic situation there to that of Kuala Lumpur.
The woman, identified only as muthammah2124 on TikTok, shared her ordeal in a video posted on the platform. She recounted how she spent nearly two hours trying to exit the parking lot at Midvalley Southkey in Johor Bahru after shopping.
According to the video description, she was trapped in the parking lot from 10 p.m. until 11:45 p.m. before finally managing to leave.

Expressing her frustration, she criticized the worsening traffic congestion in Johor Bahru, noting that such a dreadful gridlock was experienced even before the start of Ramadan.
"Friends suggested that I work in Kuala Lumpur, but I refused because I couldn't tolerate the traffic jams. However, now that I work in Johor Bahru, the traffic situation is just as bad!" she exclaimed.
Some netizens commented below the video, attributing the heavy traffic to the public holiday in Singapore yesterday, which coincided with Good Friday, resulting in many Singaporeans visiting Malaysia for leisure and shopping, thereby causing severe congestion in Johor Bahru.
Others mentioned that many Singaporeans took advantage of the long weekend to buy goods for Ramadan in Johor Bahru.
Many netizens expressed resignation, stating that with the continuous development and construction in the Johor Bahru area, similar congestion issues are expected to become increasingly common.
