Yesterday (May 2), was his last match as he retired from international badminton.

#1 He was the youngest Japanese national champion
He won the Japanese national championships at the age of 19, becoming the youngest men's singles champion in the history of the tournament.
#2 He got suspended once
Momota was suspended by the Nippon Badminton Association in 2016 for visiting an illegal casino, which caused him to miss the 2016 Rio Olympics. But, he made a remarkable comeback and became one of the world's top players.
#3 His nickname is 'The Invincible'
Kento Momota is often referred to as "The Invincible" by his fans and the badminton community due to his dominant performances on the court.

He started playing badminton at the age of 3 and won his first national championship at the age of 12.
