Authorities have arrested a nursery worker in Melaka following the death of an eight-month old baby boy under her care.
In a statement released by the Alor Gajah District Police Chief, Muhammad Al Fateh Amri was rushed to the hospital as he was unconscious, with blood coming out his nose and body turning blue.
It was believed that he had only been at the nursery for merely five days.
What’s more heartbreaking, his parents, Major Mohd Fikry Amri Abd Halim and Sabrina Hakiem Zaini, had painfully waited 13 years to conceive Al Fateh.
According to Al Fateh’s father, CCTV footage showed that the 34-year-old babysitter not only forcefully bottle fed his son, but she even covered his face with a pillow to suffocate him.
Apparently, the nursery located in Taman Kelemak Utama was discovered to be operating without license since 2020.
Our deepest condolences to Major Mohd Fikry Amri Abd Halim and Sabrina Hakiem Zaini on the heartbreaking loss of their beloved baby boy.
May justice prevail.
