According to The Borneo Post, Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Abang Openg stated that AirBorneo aims to provide affordable fares while maintaining high service standards as a full-service carrier (FSC). The airline is expected to improve passenger experience with superior in-flight services, reinforcing Sarawak's status as a premium travel destination.

Initially, AirBorneo will prioritize rural air services (RAS) to enhance accessibility for remote communities. However, plans are in place to expand its network based on travel demand. The airlines name, AirBorneo, reflects a broader regional vision, encompassing Sabah and Kalimantan in its future expansion.

As a full-service airline, AirBorneo will establish strategic partnerships and code-sharing agreements with international carriers, including Malaysia Airlines, to strengthen Sarawak's global connectivity. This initiative is expected to boost tourism and business opportunities in the region.
