Among that group is swimmer Welson Sim. Trending on China's social media platform Weibo, the 24 year old Sarawakian athlete won over the attention of netizens over in China, earlier today, with his rather good looks.
Despite having his face semi-covered with a mask during the opening ceremony, he was quick to get the attention of many, saying that he was someone who "leaves a big impression just after a glimpse".
Representing Malaysia for the Men's 200m and 400m swimming freestyle category, Welson placed #7 and #6 respectively, as well as an overall of #32, in the games this time round.
Back in 2017, during the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games, he successfully won gold for both those categories.
