KUALA SELANGOR - Police are tracking down a man after his act of stealing a poison pump and some business umbrella was successfully recorded on a closed-circuit television at a house in Taman Sungai Sembilan Batu, 17, Jeram here yesterday.
The incident is said to have happened at about 8.05am with the suspect in his 30s to 40s coming to the victim's house in a red Proton Wira car.
Kuala Selangor District Police Chief, Superintendent Ramli Kasa said, based on the initial investigation, it was found that the victim left his house to go to do business without closing the gate.
He said the suspect then entered the victim's house before stealing a poison pump and three legs of a business umbrella.
"Therefore, the public who have information are asked to contact the investigating officer Sergeant Firdaus at 0145881805 and the case is investigated according to Section 380 of the Penal Code," he said when contacted by Kosmo! today.
Earlier, a video via closed circuit television (CCTV) lasting two minutes 58 seconds showed the action of the suspect who managed to answer a mobile phone call and pretend to be the owner of the house before fleeing with the four items.
