As Ramadan approaches, issues surrounding the food sold at Ramadan bazaars inevitably arise.
Whether it's due to unreasonable prices or, at times, the food appearing to mistreat customers intentionally. Recently, a video uploaded by @kanda.nismilan on TikTok went viral, showcasing several pieces of pulut panggang (grilled glutinous rice) purchased from a Ramadan bazaar. The man expressed disappointment as the pulut panggang he bought didn't resemble its usual appearance.

To add to the dismay, he had spent RM13 for ten pieces of pulut panggang for his iftar meal. In the video, the pulut panggang appeared burnt and had a rather hard texture, prompting him to tap the snack on the plate several times to demonstrate that it couldn't be eaten.
"On the first day of Ramadan, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Bought pulut panggang, but its contents are as hard as wood," he expressed. However, he didn't disclose where the pulut panggang was purchased.
In the comment section, many netizens shared their disappointment after seeing the appearance of the traditional snack. Some netizens speculated that the pulut panggang might have been cooked multiple times. Many also shared their bitter experiences of buying food at Ramadan bazaars.
