As days pass, shocking stories continue to unfold. In the latest incident, seven men, including five policemen, have been apprehended for robbing a foreigner of his watch and RM260,000. The city's police chief revealed that three suspects were captured following the victim's report.
"Subsequently, based on information provided by the initial suspects, a raid was conducted at another location where four additional individuals, including a former policeman and a civilian, were apprehended," he announced in a statement today.
Authorities report that the suspects range in age from 28 to 41, and the case is being investigated under Sections 395/170 of the Penal Code for gang robbery and impersonating a public servant. It has been discovered that one of the suspects is a former VAT 69 officer who posed as a police officer during the robbery at a condominium in Jalan Tun Razak.
"The investigation is ongoing, and we assure the public that no one, even those affiliated with law enforcement, will be shielded from scrutiny," authorities affirmed.
