Bollywood actor, Irrfan Khan, who was renowned for starring in films including Slumdog Millionaire as well as Jurassic World has died at the age of 53.

Also known to the audience for his role in Life of Pi, Khan was a highly-respected actor whose “director Wes Anderson once wrote him a part just so he could work with him,” reports BBC.

In 2018, the actor revealed that he was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour, a rare cancer. “He took life soon after as it came and he fought the many battles that came with it,” said his family in a statement.

“We all pray and hope that he is at peace.”

We may not be his fans or watch all the films he was in, but we certainly had seen him on our TV at least once. Our deepest condolences to Khan’s family. Let’s hope they stay strong and stay safe in this difficult times.
