3 maintenance workers were injured when an electronic billboard near the Federal Highway in Petaling Jaya caught fire.
At the time of the incident, the workers were carrying out maintenance on both the top and bottom sections of the billboard. There were 9 workers on the billboard.
3 of them sustained injuries from the flames and were taken to the University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) for treatment.

Meanwhile, Petaling Jaya District Police Chief, Superintendent M. Hussin Solehuddin Zolkifly, confirmed that the fire occurred around 1:20 PM.
The police, upon receiving the information, dispatched officers to the scene to monitor the situation and informed the fire department.
The fire caused thick black smoke to billow from the billboard, and it has since been brought under control.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) will issue a statement soon.
