KAJANG: Two siblings aged 11 and 12 years old has to suffer through kicking, slapping and punching when they were bullied by a group of seniors at a Pusat Tahfiz in Hulu Langat.
The incident was revealed when the uncle of the two students saw that there were injuries on their bodies and faces and lodged a police report
Kajang District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan said, his department received the case report at 6.19 am, last Monday.
“Based on the initial investigation, it was found that the victim suffered physical injuries to the face and body believed to be the result of being slapped, punched and kicked by some seniors.
"The incident is believed to have lasted for several months during which the two victims were bullied without the knowledge of the center's management.
"In fact, the two victims were also threatened not to tell anyone about the incident," he said when contacted by Harian Metro.
Acting on the report, Mohd Zaid said the police arrested five suspects aged 14 to 24, who were also senior students at the tahfiz center, on the same day.
He said all the suspects were remanded for four days starting yesterday until this Friday to assist in the investigation according to Section 147/506 of the Penal Code.
"Both victims have been referred to hospital and doctors have confirmed that one victim is bleeding in the left eye, while the other needs to undergo further examination," he said.
