Kelantan Man's Leg Almost Amputated After Someone Chopped It While He Was Asleep

TUMPAT - The incident of a man being chopped by a masked robber while sleeping with his friend at a house in Kampung Bunut Rendang, Pasir Puteh, last Friday is believed to be motivated by revenge.

Kelantan police chief Datuk Shafien Mamat said, based on the initial investigation, the incident was suspected to have a connection between the victim, the suspect and a woman involved in the case.


According to him, the police have identified the main suspect involved in the case and arrests will be made immediately.

"Based on the investigation, the police believe that more than two suspects were involved in the case. However, further investigations into the case are still underway.


"The 27-year-old victim is now reported to be stable and is currently receiving further treatment at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital here," he said.

He said this when met by reporters after visiting the Transportable Mobile Radio (TMR) training session at the Customs, Immigration, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Complex, Pengkalan Kubor here today.
