Timothée Chalamet is no stranger to a bold red carpet look. Ever since his first major red carpet tour promoting his Oscar-nominated romance Call Me by Your Name, the 26-year-old actor has showcased his playful eye for style and love for a razor-sharp cut, whether the bejeweled Louis Vuitton harness he wore to the 2019 Golden Globes, or the satin Prada workwear jacket and Cartier brooch he stepped out in at the 2020 Oscars.
But tonight, at the premiere of his latest film, the cannibal romance Bones and All – which sees him reunite with Call Me by Your Name director Luca Guadagnino – Chalamet proved he still has a few tricks up his sleeve. In his boldest red carpet look yet, Chalamet enlisted the help of his favourite designer and close friend Haider Ackermann for a custom halter jumpsuit.
Cut from a shiny, blood-red fabric (possibly a nod to the grisly nature of the film he's promoting), the outfit was slashed at the sides of the torso to be both sleeveless and almost entirely backless, with a wraparound, scarf-like neckline and Cartier rings for a bit of Studio 54-ready pizzazz. (Mick Jagger, eat your heart out.)
