Action to alter residential areas, particularly in low-cost flats, is becoming increasingly common among irresponsible individuals these days. Previously, a tenant of a flat in Kuala Lumpur installed an iron grill in the hallway, which infuriated the people who use P-hailing to deliver packages.
Moreover, it is even worse when the same thing happened involving a resident of an apartment it is believed in Puchong, Selangor installed a door as a barrier in the corridor of the house
A resident from the same apartment named Haswanis Hassan made a video post on her Facebook page on Sunday claiming that the iron and wood door (grill) was obstructing other tenants' access and departure, including her own.
According to her, the action of the elderly to install the door is because they do not want cats to enter their home.
"What do you think about installing the grill near the flat? Are you sitting in a luxury condo? Your shoe rack is already a burden near there! Do you want to add another grill? "You don't like cat poop, you move there, find a planet where there are no cats. It makes it difficult for people to walk narrowly," she wrote in her post.
She also expressed her displeasure with the house management who initially did not take any action after the complaint had been made. At the same time, the owner of the Facebook account also voiced her concern about the possible harm that would happen if the door was placed.
"If there is a fire, it is difficult, wood is easy to burn," she said.
A day after the video was posted, Haswanis said, the management came to her house after the first transmission was uploaded but they did not have a chance to meet face-to-face to resolve the issue.
"The management came, unfortunately, we went to the bazaar, we regret leaving because we don't know what the outcome will be," she added.
However, she is said to have received information from another individual who stated that the management could demolish the door after two warning letters were given to the owner of the house involved.
She said that if no decisive action was taken after the two letters were given, she was advised to file a complaint with the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ).
Meanwhile, in the comment section of the Facebook post, the average netizen also expressed anger towards the actions of the elderly for being insensitive to the situation of other residents.
