Ummmm...anyone else kinda scared?
A group of Malaysian fisherman who were in a civilian boat recently saw the US Navy's nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, CVN-71 USS Theodore Roosevelt, cruise right in front of them in the Strait of Malacca.
It was an incredible sight.
The enormous ship was traveling to Changi Naval Base in Singapore for a layover before continuing on to the South China Sea and ultimately the United States.
The USS Theodore Roosevelt is shown cruising alone in a video of the sighting, devoid of the Ticonderoga-class cruisers or Arleigh Burke-class destroyers that are often present.
The enormous aircraft carrier by itself on the wide body of water was a sight to behold and quite frankly, a little terrifying.
However, this is not the first time such sighting has occurred!
Malaysian citizens have previously come into contact with naval warships in the Strait of Malacca.
A few months prior, while fishing in the same waters, another set of Malaysian fisherman spotted Indian Navy submarines.
