In a recent post on their Facebook page, the Shah Alam Fire and Rescue Department revealed a surprising discovery: a drain filled with baby pythons in Shah Alam. The discovery was made following a call they received on August 7, which prompted the deployment of six personnel to the location.
The drain, situated next to a popular mamak eatery in Seksyen 20, was the site of the unusual find. Upon arrival and conducting a thorough size-up process of gathering detailed information the team confirmed the presence of multiple snakes in the drain.
From the pictures shared on social media, it is evident that there were at least 15 baby pythons in the drain. The images showcased the sizable collection of reptiles, which had likely been using the drain as a safe haven.
The Fire and Rescue Department personnel acted swiftly and efficiently, removing all the snakes from the drain. They have since relocated the pythons to a safe environment where they can thrive without posing any danger to the public.
This incident highlights the important role of the Fire and Rescue Department in ensuring public safety, not only from fires but also from unexpected wildlife encounters. The department's prompt response and effective handling of the situation were crucial in preventing any potential harm to the nearby eatery's patrons and the local community.
