Amid COVID-19, the elderly people have difficulty to buy their daily necessities as most of them still do not know how to make an online purchase.
"Zoomers to Boomers" (from Generation Z to Baby Boomers) is a service for the elders. It was founded in March by Daniel Goldberg, a high school student in California. He came to this idea when he wanted to contribute as much as his father who is working as a front-line doctor in the emergency room.

This volunteer service quickly attracted many young people across the United States. Young volunteers who joined in the project said they intend to maintain the service after the pandemic.
Mira Kwon, a 16-year-old volunteer from Los Angeles, led about 40 classmates to participate in the plan. She thinks the most difficult thing is to call the shops at the beginning and invite them to become partners. However, Mira said that she has benefited a lot from it because this experience has increased her self-confidence, and she could build relationships with others.

Another 17-year-old volunteer, Betsy Bass, described the volunteer service has enabled to learn a new thing outside the traditional classroom. She believes that the biggest challenge in the process is to contact the recipients who do not have computers or social media. Besides, the volunteers have to go to nursing homes, churches, and other places to promote the service in the community.
