Widespread flooding has severely affected several states in the Peninsular region, caused by the continuous heavy rain. In Selangor, the Shah Alam Toll Plaza and several roads have now undergone closure due to the alarming rise of floodwater. It's also reported that many were left stranded in their vehicles for hours along the roads.
According to a statement by the Menteri Besar of Selangor, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, several measures have been taken to assure the safety of affected residents. He has also issued an extensive list of PPS via his Instagram account. There are currently 46 temporary relief centres (PPS) formed around Klang, Kuala Selangor, Petaling, Sepang and Kuala Langat.
