Producer Datuk David Teo was believed to be bewitched, and some of his symptoms include eating a lot, feeling cold in hot areas, and having trouble sleeping at night.
According to the Managing Director of Metrowealth International Group (MIG), the incident happened in 2018, a week after his father died.
"When I returned home a week after my father passed away, I was having trouble sleeping, and my blood pressure had abruptly increased.
"I took the hospital medication since I assumed it was a common discomfort, but still, it did not help. I often feel cold, even in hot environments.
"Imagine that despite the heat, I don't feel hot at all while I'm in a thick winter coat. I also lost my work spirit and always felt like I wanted to die," David said.
What's even stranger is that David, who doesn't eat much, manages to consistently consume rice until three in the morning. Apparently, he has also developed a taste for half-boiled eggs.
"I normally don't like half-boiled eggs, but since being affected by supernatural power, I can eat up to 10 half-boiled eggs at one meal," David stated.
One of his coworkers noticed David's change, and after a month of experiencing the symptoms, he was treated with Islamic medication.
"The Ustaz who treated me said that if I failed to receive treatment right away, I might die. He claimed that I was possessed and impacted by Santau. My body was filled with leeches that were gradually making me ill.
"I recovered my health and went back to being myself after receiving treatment. This is my first experience working with magic and witchcraft, despite the fact that I have produced a lot of horror and mysterious films," David revealed.
But David never imagined that, because of family strife, the closest family members would be willing to "send" black magic.
"I recall that some individuals appear to be my own family members. It seems logical that my illness-related dreams involved wood carving.
"Because my cousin had lived and worked in Indonesia for over 10 years. Now that I'm healthy, our relationship is as usual, though not as close as we used to be.
"I simply made a vow not to question on his behaviour ever again. My heart has moved past what happened," David added.
David said this when we met at the Riang Ria Raya event of the movie Jangan Pandang Belakang 2: Aku Tahu Asal Usulmu yesterday.
Meanwhile, David revealed that Pierre Andre's horror film, which opens to the public this year, contains elements of his own experience.
The horror film Jangan Pandang Belakang 2: Aku Tahu Asal Usulmu will star Emma Maembong, Alif Hadi, Mawar Rashid, Khatijah Tan, Ruminah Sidek, Iedil Dzuhrie Alaudin, and Hafizudin.
