A heartbreaking road accident in Dungun claimed the lives of three Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Dungun students, with another sustaining serious injuries. The incident occurred around 8 PM near the university's campus.
The victims have been identified as Khairil Anwar Jamaludin, Ku Adib Aizad Ku Azmi, both aged 20, and Mohd. Akmal Tukirin, 25. All three were returning to campus after having dinner when their motorcycles were struck by a vehicle. The impact of the crash resulted in fatal injuries for the trio, while a fourth student, 20-year-old Amar Danish Mohd. Ridwan suffered critical injuries and was rushed to Dungun Hospital's emergency unit.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to the hospital's forensic unit for post-mortem examinations. As of now, no official police statement has been released, but early reports indicate that a woman in her 40s, believed to be the driver involved in the accident, has been taken into custody.
Authorities have confirmed that investigations are underway to determine the cause of the accident. The UiTM Dungun community has been left in shock and mourning as they await further updates on the investigation and Amar Danish's recovery.
