ICYMI: A Police Escort Who Assaulted A Deaf E-Hailing Motorist Was Fined RM 1,000


Based on footage on social media, a resident recorded the actions of a group of men stealing cables belonging to a telecommunication company in front of his house and scolding the criminals involved.


However, the man's actions were ignored by the criminals and instead they continued to steal cables.

This incident reportedly occurred at Taman Keramat, Mentakab, at approximately 2.45am last night.


Based on a video recording lasting 1 minute and 44 seconds that was spread on social media, a man was pulling a cable from a blocking hole and hooked it to the back of a vehicle before leaving the scene.



Following the incident, witnesses to the incident made a police report. A police spokesman said that based on witness reports, the defendant alleged that he heard a noise in his yard.


According to him, the witness who was involved went out of the house to check and ran into a group of men pulling the cable. He said the witness involved recorded the criminal's actions and scolded them.

"The police also received a report from a telecommunications company regarding a case of entangled cable theft." he said.


The spokesman said that investigators found that two vehicles driven by criminals at the time of the incident used fake registration numbers.


He said, the case was investigated by The Penal Code Section 379.
