Well… Forbes has called it!
Based on reports, Taylor Swift has now been declared a billionaire by Forbes. She was confirmed by the financial media outlet of having wealth exceed a billion dollars.
Forbes also stated that she is the first artist to achieve her billionaire status solely on music, with an estimate fortune of US$1.1 billion.
Others who have hit the mark include Rihanna and Jay-Z, however, they have contributing help from fashion brands, alcohol companies or entertainment holdings.
Along with her music, Taylor Swift also staged the first ever billion-dollar tour. She has a real estate portfolio with houses in NY, Beverly Hills, Nashville and Rhode Island.
In 2023, the young pop artist also scored her 4th Grammy for Best Album, the most of any artist.
Since she started her songwriting journey as a teenager, Swift has created 10 studio albums, 3 re-recorded studio albums, 5 extended plays and 4 live albums. Her 11th album is to hit stores 19 April 2024.
Her Eras Tour is also due to continue till the end of 2024, with estimates of her wealth surpassing the US$2 billion threshold.
