In a touching story of love and devotion, Lokman Sumadi, 35, recently married his longtime partner, Nor Azurah Othman, 39, in an emotional ceremony, despite her battle with stage four lung cancer.
The couple has originally planned to wed September 7, but Lokman decided to bring the date forward when Nor Azurah’s health took a turn for the worse, requiring her to be admitted to Hospital Kuala Lumpur.
The wedding took place on August 18 at Nor Azurah’s family home in Kampung Sungai Kelambu, Banting, with the bride participating via video call from her hospital bed.
Lokman revealed that Nor Azurah had once expressed the desire to cancel the wedding, fearing that her illness would prevent her from bringing happiness to their marriage.
However, Lokman was determined to proceed, stating, “She is the perfect woman for me, and I want to take care of her for the rest of my life.”
A video of the wedding, shared by Nor Azurah’s twin sister, Nora Delysya, quickly went viral on social media, touching the hearts of many.
Lokman and Nor Azurah’s story is a testament to the strength of true love, showing that even in the face of overwhelming odds, love can triumph.
All love and happiness to the newlyweds.
