“I read (somewhere), it’s not wrong for us to research on other religions, right? Because we aren’t doing anything wrong, but people blame us for being bad. After JAIS came up with the statement, I’ve grown lazy to think about it.
I’m not saying this as a threat. By oath for the sake of my name, my father’s name and my mother’s name, I no longer want to be a Muslim. I will leave Islam; it would be better like this. I’m not joking, I’m serious. They were the ones who made me want to quit the religion. They further pushed me away from Islam.
Maybe they thought that they could teach me a lesson (from what happened), but no. I became more terrified, I feel it’s better for me to leave Islam. Because I was born a Muslim and I just followed everything my mother taught me, I did. Turns out…. I don’t know,”.

Since the 122-officer statewide search, beauty entrepreneur and transgender Nur Sajat has become the center of attention. Taking her voice to social media, via what appears to be a live video, on the 1st of March, she decided to speak out, about leaving the Muslim religion.
The video quickly went viral and upon it being available for public consumption, there have been various reactions to her news, the most prominent being hateful, threatening and murderous comments.
Besides that, many have also voiced their opinions on the matter, some in support of Sajat, and some against her, as well as her acts toward the Muslim religion.
everyone is just talking shit about sajat leaving islam and it shows y’all are MISSING THE POINT. she said the way muslims are treating her are making her lose faith and dislike islam. understand that. see how your actions as a so-called “good muslim” have caused someone to leave

I don’t understand how there can be Muslims who love stories of how compassionate the prophet was and how beautiful he made Islam look, but at the same time be the first to say “Eh macam seronok je bunuh Sajat ni. Ni dah halal dah utk bunuh”. Like??? So violent happy?

What about the way Sajat treats Islam? Going to the holy Mekah while donning women’s attire despite being born as a man. That is not a form of provocation towards Islam and Mekkah as a holy place? And you expect Muslims to treat Sajat with endless love and kindness? https://t.co/qAWfdVaF3K

Whats the missing point? You see their actions as provocative but you dont see how provocative sajat towards the value in islam?Being called to court but didnt attend.Doing umrah & triggered the bad impression from islamic countries to m'sia. Where the respect from his side?

As many argue, even journalists have been called out for not properly using the right pronouns on her, when writing articles/news.
Nur Sajat back in the news.

To media friends, I urge for you to refrain frm using her dead-name & to not misgender her.
Pls consider rewriting/not using any @bernamadotcom stories that do so.
Pls PUT INTO CONTEXT our anti-apostasy laws & why it's almost impossible to do so.
