If you do decide to join the #Lawan protest tomorrow, here are the precautions you should consider:
1. Check your health conditions.
If you have recently been experiencing compromising symptoms such as cough, fever, etc, or if you happen to live with high-risk individuals, you are not encouraged to join the protest. This is to ensure that everyone around and yourself could be protected from getting and/or spreading the Covid-19 virus.
2. Prepare yourself ahead of the protest
The #Lawan protest will be held in Dataran Merdeka, so you are advised to plan your transportation ahead of the event. You are also advised to set up emergency contacts in case the situation escalates.

Given that we're still dealing with the high rise of Covid-19 cases, it is important that you practice social distancing, double-masking, and other necessary steps to avoid catching the virus. Other than that, remember to look out for the designated marshalls who will be present at the protest.

7. Other safety tips you should remember:
These tips are especially important if you're planning to bring your smartphone with you to the protest.
Also, if you're able to afford, leave your main phones at home and only bring cheap ass burner phones with contact number of your family members and lawyers.
Don't prioritize your social media. You're going there to protest, not to just take pictures so leave that to the media.
Then log out of all social media.
Delete any sensitive photos.
Make sure you exit from Twitter/Telegram/WhatsApp/Slack groups where you organize with your fellow activists so you don't compromise the entire group by allowing the pigs to infiltrate the groups with your device.
You don't need to be tech savvy to practice basic OPSEC. These basic action items are for you to protect yourselves, and so that you protect your fellow friends/activists.
Always remember that pigs are always looking for means to infiltrate these groups. So be smart about it.
