Authorities allege that prior to his death, he was brutally assaulted for hours by three suspects— Heather Pate, 27, Kevin Dent, 36, and Brad Mehn, 37. According to records, among the methods of torture used were a blow torch, axe and knives. As if that wasn't enough, Jaggers was also forced to be stripped naked.

Autopsy reports revealed multiple gunshot wounds to be the cause of his death, which was fired just after Jaggers was forced to walk off a cliff. Pate allegedly suspected Jaggers of abusing her child, which led to Dent luring him into their home before torturing him to death.

The victim’s parents, Kassy Robinson and Jerry Jaggers described Jaggers as someone kind and very loving. “How can you do that to another human being?”, the mother questioned.

The suspects are currently held at the Nye County Detention Center without bail.
