Talk about rich people privilege! One local entrepreneurship educator is in hot soup over her insensitive remarks on delivery riders and private hire drivers.

Last Sunday (Nov 7), viewers tuned in to Malaysian property agent, Paul Lim's live stream video, only to end up livid. His partner, Fong asked in Mandarin, "How rich can those who order takeaway food be?". To which, Lim burst out laughing!

She went on to ask viewers, "How can you have a future doing food delivery?"

Apparently, it was Fong's way to suggest 'better ways to make money'- by selling property to the wealthy.

"If you can sell something with million-dollar price tags to the rich, your aura will change," Fong continues.

Lim, who flaunted a piece of luxury watch on his wrist, supported her unfounded views too. He claimed to have rewarded himself with the RM110 thousand timepiece.

Viewers clearly defended the manpower in the gig economy. Fong, replied that "Only parasites drive Grab, they have no culture."

A couple days later, Lim made a public apology on a six-minute long Facebook livestream.

Fong, on the other hand, apologized in an interview with Sin Chew Daily. She claimed that she only wanted to encourage young people to improve themselves and seek breakthroughs.

She also mentioned that she will stop taking part in live stream videos in the future except for those related to charity work.

Hope the duo has now learnt a valuable lesson.
