For this Vietnamese man, his life was turned upside down after a DNA test conducted had confirmed his lingering instincts.
According to local media outlet Docnhanh, the story began after the man felt suspicious of his daughter’s looks, as she doesn’t bear neither him nor his wife’s features.
At one point, he accused his wife of toying behind his back, but she firmly denied this.
It seemed that many years later, everything unraveled after the family relocated to Hanoi. There, the girl (known as Lan), had enrolled into a new school, unknowingly crossing paths with the couple’s biological daughter.
Not only did the the girls share a mutual birthday, they were even born in the same hospital. The truth was later uncovered during their joint birthday celebration.
During the party, the friend’s mother took a glimpse of Lan, and instantly felt something was amiss after noticing how they eerily resembled each other.
Alas, a DNA test was later taken and it all made sense. Turned out, the girls were actually switched at birth during a mix-up at the undisclosed hospital.

Despite knowing the truth, the two families have decided to withhold the information from the girls until the right time comes.
As for the hospital’s careless mistake, it’s unknown whether any charges will be pressed.
