Single Woman In Singapore Offers RM7,000 Reward For The Perfect Match

In an era where dating apps often lead to unpredictable outcomes and traditional matchmaking is increasingly rare, one woman has decided to take a unique approach to finding love by offering a cash reward.

Bella Dai, a 29-year-old wellness entrepreneur based in Singapore, has drawn attention with her unconventional dating strategy. She is offering RM7,000 (SGD2,000) to anyone who successfully introduces her to a suitable life partner. She announced her initiative through an Instagram post (@bellzdai), listing specific qualities she hopes to find in a potential match.

Searching for a Meaningful Connection

Bella is looking for a straight male between the ages of 25 and 42 who is based in Singapore. However, beyond these basic criteria, she has a clear vision of the kind of person she hopes to meet:

Someone who has mastered his craft, showing dedication and discipline

A strong commitment to health, fitness, and overall well-being

The ability to navigate challenging conversations with maturity

An openness to spirituality and religion as tools for personal growth

To encourage genuine connections, Bella has promised an RM7,000 reward to anyone who introduces her to a match that results in a committed relationship lasting at least six months.

Applying Business Tactics to Dating

A former industrial designer with a degree in design art from Nanyang Technological University, Bella has always approached life with a strategic mindset. She moved to Singapore at 15 and has since built a career in wellness.

Inspired by a discussion with a friend, she decided to apply professional marketing principles to her personal life. "The most challenging part of dating is the search process. Many of my friends avoid dating apps because the intentions of users can be unclear," she explained to The Straits Times.

Thinking of herself as a brand, Bella sought ways to make her relationship status known to her social circle. "Every marketing campaign starts with awareness. I wanted people to know I am single and looking for a serious relationship."

A Unique Dating Experiment

Bella carefully considered the RM7,000 reward, believing it was enough to make an impact but not so large that it would lead to insincere matchmaking attempts.

Since launching her campaign, she has received five referrals from friends, each accompanied by a potential suitor's LinkedIn or Instagram profile. Out of these, two candidates stood out, and she has already gone on three dates with one of them.

While time will tell whether this approach leads Bella to the love she seeks, her story has sparked discussions about modern dating, creative matchmaking strategies, and how people can take control of their love lives in innovative ways.
