Have you wondered how to improve your beauty? To get started, you need to understand and avoid the following beauty mistakes.

1. Brush After Acidic Food Or Drink

Enamel (teeth’s outer shell) would be removed if you brush your teeth right after you consume acidic food or drink. Preferably, swish well with water and wait at least 1 hour before you brush.

2. Skip Water After Drinking Alcohol

Alcohol has acid and tannins which can harm your enamel and make teeth easier to stain. After every drink, you often feel thirsty because you have less saliva to wash away acid and bacteria as the alcohol dries out your mouth. To protect your teeth and avoid staining, rinse your mouth with water after drinking alcohol.

3. Swim With Dry Hair

When you get out of the swimming pool or sea, wash your hair right away with shampoo because pool water or seawater contains chemicals that can harm hair.

4. Use Too Much or Too Little Shampoo And Skip Conditioner

Fine, straight hair: use shampoo every day if oil and dirt build-up.

Thicker or curly hair: use shampoo a few days to a week between cleaning.

Textured hair: wash once or twice a month with shampoo.

Apply a lightweight conditioner on the ends of your strands (not the roots) each time you wash your hair.

5. Apply Deodorant To Prevent Sweating

Deodorant disguises the odour. Antiperspirant is what you need if you have sweaty armpits.

6. Shave Right Before a Pedicure

It is not advisable to shave at least 24 hours before a pedicure because you would be exposed to the risk of an infection as the tiny pores on your skin after you shave is the ideal entry point for bacteria in the footbath.

7. Don’t Swap Your Razor

If you’re using a blunt razor to shave, you will need to move over the similar area many times to get it smooth. However, this would form tiny cuts in your skin that can cause bumps, rashes, irritation, and infection.

8. Take Long And Hot Showers
