Being a double-degree holder is impressive, but being a forty-degree holder...that's insane!
An Indonesian man has just graduated from his 40th-degree course, and he is on the way to getting his 41st degree! Welin Kusuma holds the record for having the most degrees in Indonesia since 2012 with 32 degrees at the time. He gained another 8 degrees in just 10 years' time.
The 41-year-old has collected 12 bachelor's degrees, 3 master's degrees, and 25 professional degrees including law, economics and art courses. Apart from the usual degree courses, he has also taken other courses such as English Language, accounting, computer, etc.
According to Welin, his deep passion for studying began when he was in secondary school.
He once studied 5-degree courses at the same time, namely Industrial Engineering at Universiti Surabaya, Economic Management at STIE Urip Sumoharjo, Business Administration at Open University, Law at Universiti Airlangga and Informatics Engineering at Kolej Kejuruteraan Surabaya.
During that time, he starts his studies from 7 am to 10 pm, 7 days a week.
According to his recent post on Instagram, he has just gained his 41st title as an Executive Professional Engineer.
Welin is currently studying for his 41st degree in library science at Universiti Terbuka Surabaya.
