Teen Brittany Goh from Malaysia has secured a spot to compete in China's newest reality singing competition, The Voice 2024.

The 16-year-old, a native of Labuan, gained her place with her moving performance of Chinese singer Zhou Shen's Hua Kai Wang You (transliterated).

During her interview with StarLifestyle, Brittany expressed concerns about her chances of moving on to the next round.

"I was shocked to be selected since I had not anticipated being selected. It's my first time taking center stage like this. Brittany expressed her excitement about doing new activities and acquiring fresh experience.

Brittany's brother Bryan Goh claims that her Chinese voice instructor was the one who registered her for The Voice 2024. She is one of the original cast members of the program.

There are still auditions going on.

According to StarLifestyle, Bryan said, "Brittany is the only Malaysian in the competition right now."

Brittany will remain in her hometown until she receives a call-up from The Voice 2024's production team to compete in the next round. She is presently enrolled in school in Labuan.

The gifted teenager took part in several singing competitions since she first began to sing at the age of four.

According to Bryan, Brittany has already received the special gold prize at the Guangzhou Chinese Festival Dream China in 2018.

In the 2019 Hong Kong International Youth Arts Festival, she also won the gold prize.
