A fit of rage has landed this man under police custody, following an attempted murder on his own wife.
The incident, which took place on the East-West Highway In Gerik yesterday, was believed to have stemmed after a heated argument in the couple’s car.

In a statement released by Gerik OCPD Supt Zulkifli Mahmood, the 39-year-old suspect had suddenly pushed his wife into a ravine. The cause or context of the argument has yet to be disclosed.
Fortunately for the latter, she was able to climb back up and waited by the roadside for help. She’s currently recuperating after receiving treatment at Taiping Hospital for minor wounds.
As for the man, the case is being probed under Section 307 of the Penal Code.
