A couple faced a harrowing moment when their car, driving under the Imbi Monorail Station, was struck by a large brick hurled onto the road, prompting concerns for their safety.
According to Facebook user Hui Min Chia, the incident occurred around 1 PM yesterday when they heard a loud bang from behind their vehicle while driving with her boyfriend.
"Upon exiting the car, we discovered that it was a brick that had hit my boyfriend's rear windshield as we passed through that location," she posted on Facebook.
Observing their surroundings, they noticed an individual throwing bricks from atop the Imbi Monorail Station down onto the street.
To prevent further incidents, Min Chia stated that they went to where the brick was thrown from and realized it was done by a disturbed man who was still carrying rocks while walking up the stairs of the same location.
"When speaking with the auxiliary police and premises staff, they informed us that the man was experiencing mental health issues and frequently roamed there," she said.
Meanwhile, Acting Dang Wangi District Police Chief Superintendent Nuzulan Mohd Din confirmed that a police report had been received regarding the incident.
He clarified that efforts to locate the involved suspect are currently underway by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters.
