The one and only AR Rahman, an international musician whose music has enthralled many, will once again wow Malaysian fans.

On July 27, 2024, "AR Rahman Live in Kuala Lumpur" will take place at the National Stadium Bukit Jalil.

According to The Rakyat Post, the performance is being organized by Star Planet, whose managing director, Dato Alan Foo, expressed excitement about bringing the legendary artist to Malaysia and assured that it will be a historic occasion.

The performance will showcase a fantastic fusion of musical genres, with new compositions and Rahman's well-known classics brought to life by an incredible group of musicians and performers, according to Star Planet Director Dato R. Rajendran.

Viewers can anticipate an immersive experience that highlights Rahman's well-known roles in Indian films in addition to an enthralling auditory journey with fresh twists on beloved songs, primarily from the Tamil film industry.

Millions of music fans are familiar with the name, and ever since his breakthrough role in the film Roja which was released in the 1990s, his songs have dominated playlists.

With his amazing musical creations, he has since transformed the Indian music landscape and established himself on the global stage.

A perfect example of such would be his two Oscar victories for the film Slumdog Millionaire in 2009.

Given the caliber of his work and the extent of his musical influence, it is not surprising that he was the first and only Indian composer to date to win an Academy Award.

Rahman has played for Malaysian audience several times previously, so they are familiar with him. But for all the audiences in Malaysia, that night will always be remembered as the first time he performed there.

Approximately 60,000 people attended his performance last year and they were not dissatisfied.

That evening, he sang the audience's favorite duet, "Mumbe Vaa," with Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, making it the highlight of the evening for many in the present.
