As many as 510 homeless individuals within Kuala Lumpur are given a place to sleep during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period as Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) converts large community halls to temporary shelters.

KL mayor, Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan, said that the homeless, which consists of both locals and foreigners, are each given a mattress, a pillow, and basic essentials. They have also been screened by the Ministry of Health and so far no results return positive.
