Yogurt cake is not only delicious but also low in calories. Now if you’re craving for a fluffy cake with classic taste, try this yogurt cake out!
【Ingredients】
Plain yogurt - 140g
Corn oil - 30g
Cake flour - 45g
Corn starch -20g
Granulated sugar - 35g
Egg - 3
** Baking pan size: 18.6 x 11.6 x 6.5 or 6-inch round cake pan
【Directions】
1. In a bowl, combine yogurt and corn oil until they blended completely.
2. Sift cake flour and corn starch in the bowl. Stir in ‘Z’ shape until no lumps remain.
3. Add in egg yolks and stir in the same pattern until smooth.
4. In another bowl, whisk together egg whites and granulated sugar until thicken. The sugar should be added in 3 portions.
5. Gently mix 1/3 of the meringue with the egg yolk batter.
6. Pour the mixture into the remaining meringue and stir well.
7. Line the bottom of the baking pan with parchment paper. Grease pan lightly with baking oil.
8. Pour the batter into the pan and bake in preheated oven over 130 degrees for about 75 minutes. Place a 2cm cup of hot water into the oven with the batter.
9. Remove the cake from oven and let it cool before removing it from the pan.
