The Health Ministry has previously denied rumours of new Covid-19 variant, Omicron in Perak.
Rumours were thought to come from another fake video, spreading a false statement. The irresponsible creator used an old Astro Awani news report, referring to the South African variant-B.1.351.

The ministry has since released a statement to reiterate that the variant has not landed in Malaysia yet. However, on 3rd December, a press release by the ministry confirmed a case involving an international student at a private university in Ipoh, Perak.
Nevertheless, the Ministry urges that the public stop spreading unreliable information. And, only refer to the official website for more news!
