One of our BIGGEST pet peeves with YouTube is the fact that we can’t enjoy a late-night vibes playlist or some deep focus music while working as soon as we lock our screen or open a different app. UGHH it is so annoying!
Yes, yes, some might say, “ Well, why don’t you just use Spotify or Apple Music?” Well, because, as discussed in one of our previous articles, Spotify and Apple Music don’t really have some unofficial music that YouTube has! DUH!
So, back to the whole YouTube pet peeve topic, ya, it just drives us crazy!
But, as usual, Goody is here again to save the day because we have scoured the world wide web and found a hack for iPhone users that allows you to keep YouTube playing even after locking your screen or even when you switch between apps!
Here’s how to so it:
1. You will have to use safari to go to YouTube instead of the YouTube hack for this hack to work. So, Open YouTube on safari and look for any song you want to hear, like Stay by Justin Bieber and Kid LAROI.
2. Click on the AA button at the top left of the screen and choose the Request Desktop Website.
3. Hit play on your video and go to any other app. You video will now be playing on the lower right side of your screen, just like Netflix would while you reply your BFF on Whatsapp.
4. Then, when you lock your screen, the video will stop. All you have to do to play is click play on the safari pop up on your locked screen and tadaa, YouTube will be playing while you screen is locked.
You’re welcome, have a nice day. LOL
Who knew one small option could take away a huge pet peeve!
