Recently, numerous netizens on social media have been claiming to catch whiffs of the delightful Jasmine fragrance during their nighttime outings. 

Many have linked this phenomenon to mystical and mysterious occurrences, with some even resorting to rituals to ward off unwanted events. 

However, according to a shared post on Facebook, this phenomenon is not supernatural at all, but rather a natural occurrence that coincides with the full moon.

Investigations reveal that this captivating phenomenon is known as "lunar blooming flowers." 

It refers to a group of flowers that bloom simultaneously with the full moon. 

These flowers remain tightly closed throughout the day, only to open their petals when the moon emerges, attracting pollinators such as bats and butterflies. 

Interestingly, some of these nocturnal blossoms shed their petals the following morning after successful pollination.

Among the flowers included in this group of lunar blooming flowers are the "Bunga Kecubung" and the "Bunga Melur Kembang Malam" or "Bunga Sedap Malam."

So, it turns out that the mysterious fragrance in the nighttime air has a natural explanation, offering a glimpse into the enchanting wonders of nature.
