Based on reports, Korean-American singer songwriter Eric Nam just announced tour with Malaysia being on the list, but Malaysian fans are asking him to go back to Korea.
The singer released his 3rd album on 16 Oct, and is set to perform at Zepp KL on 20 Feb 2024. However what was excitement quickly turned to disdain in Twitterverse.
Netizens called out the 34yo for liking an Instagram post that showed support for Israel. The original post was by Colton Underwood’s husband Jordan. It suggested that it’s possible for one to oppose Israel’s mistreatment of Palestinians while simultaneously showing support for the protection of Israeli citizens.
Eric was one of the celebs to like the post. This did not sit well with fans who have expressed their disappointment toward the DIVE podcast host.
Shortly after sharing the announcement of his tour, both Malaysian K-Pop fan pages on Twitter, Hallyu Pop and Malaysian Kpop Fans deleted the post, thanked netizens and hashtagged #FreePalestine.
As of yet, neither Eric nor Zepp KL has released a statement.
