Police have confirmed a shooting incident that took place outside a restaurant at BBT One Boulevard, Lebuh Batu Nilam, Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang, early last Friday.
Klang Selatan District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong, reported that authorities received information about the incident from a security guard stationed at the restaurant around 2:55 AM.
According to Cha, the shooting occurred at approximately 2:15 AM. A man, believed to be a local, exited a vehicle and fired multiple shots towards individuals seated outside the restaurant before fleeing the scene in the same vehicle.
Upon investigating the scene, police discovered five bullet casings, a projectile, and evidence of two bullet impacts on a chair and two on the restaurant wall.
A 45-year-old local man sustained a gunshot wound to his left buttock and is currently receiving treatment at Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) in Klang. His condition is reported to be stable.

The Klang Selatan District Polices Criminal Investigation Department has opened an investigation under Section 307 of the Penal Code, which pertains to attempted murder and carries a potential penalty of up to 20 years in prison.
Police are actively working to identify and apprehend the suspect involved.
