Chagee has been recently involved in a scandal involving its gift coupons, and here's a quick rundown of the entire story.
We all know about Chagee's famous tear and win contest.
Well as of recent and part of their 7th anniversary the famous tea house once again organized their contest, which allowed for customers to win attractive prices.
To join, all one needed to do is order a large drink. The cup will have a detachable section at the bottom, and when you tear it out, you'll get to see if you've won any prices.
Unfortunately, after a netizen posted a behind-the-scenes of the prepping for the contest, netizens now believe that its rigged.
2. But the campaign is rigged.

The staff was shaking the empty cups as if to check if there are any coupons inside, then rearranging them to a separate section.

In the video, the staff is seen shaking the cups to separate the ones with the gift inside, and the ones without.
Netizens were so quick to call them out, noting that it was being separated so that the brand could pick who gets the gifts.
Chagee responded after, telling the OP to take down their post, under the excuse of 'staff privacy', in order to prevent legal action from being taken.
Netizens got angrier after, and reminded the Tea brand that even the mightiest can fall (Starbucks).
The brand noted that relevant action has been taken on the staff, and their most recent response is their official apology:
