1. Penang Island

As a popular destination for locals and foreigners, Penang is listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 2008. While many people have been to Penang before, it is still worth a “re-visit” just to have their famous delicacies such as prawn noodle, Curry Mee, Chendol, Char Kuey Tiaw, Air Itam Laksa, Rojak and many more!

The soft and sandy beach at Tanjung Bungah will surely make us feel relax and calming while the cooling weather at Penang Hill, around 25 degree Celsius, allow us to cool the summer heat and enjoy the fresh air! Not only that, but Penang also has a lot of specialty museums such as Camera museum, Teddyville museum, Penang House of Music, Dark mansion museum, etc.

2. Desaru, Johor

Desaru has a 25km serene coastline lined by Casuarina Trees. Besides, participate in a guided tour in Desaru fruit farms which has more than 100 tropical fruits.

In addition, the fisherman museum is the only museum in Malaysia that showcase the story of traditional fishing communities as well as their civilization. Don’t forget to catch a glance at the mysterious yet beautiful fireflies that emit yellow, green, or pale red-colored light in the dark and be amazed.

3. Ipoh, Perak

Ipoh is a paradise for scrumptious food and the ideal place for a weekend getaway. Compared to Penang and Malacca, it is a less popular destination but beholds, Ipoh offers countless interesting attractions. For example, cave temples, Gaharu Tea Valley, Memory Lane Flea Market, and limestone cliffs.

Besides, learn more about the historical roots of the Hakka community by visiting Ho Yan Hor Museum and Ipoh World. Don’t forget to taste their local delicacies such as dim sum and enjoy the renowned Ipoh White Coffee when you set off on your journey to Ipoh.
