A teacher with 12 years of service in the capital faced multiple rejections in her attempts to transfer to the state where her husband worked. Little did she know that this would become the catalyst for her husband's infidelity, ultimately resulting in their divorce.
According to the report, the teacher shared her unfortunate experience in a Facebook private group called "e-Gtukar Pertukaran Guru Oh e-Gtukar!"
She revealed that her husband lived and worked in another state, and she would drive there every two weeks with their two special-needs children to be with him. In an attempt to address the challenges of the long-distance relationship, she applied for a transfer multiple times, but all her efforts were in vain. Consequently, this inconvenience had a profound impact on her personal life.
"I was divorced yesterday. During our long-distance relationship, I only just found out about my husband's infidelity, and he had slept with another woman since two years ago."
"He chose that woman because she was close and provided him with care."
She mentioned having had thoughts of "ending things" but reconsidered when she saw her children. Now, she has chosen to accept the arrangements made by a higher power and strives to move forward in life.
"I chose to be an educator, and I have to face this. I pray that I stay strong and hope that I and my colleagues seeking transfers can see a glimmer of hope."
