The Second Victim of COVID-19 Was Safely Buried In Johor Bahru

The first two COVID-19 fatalities were recorded in Malaysia on 17th of March, one was a 34-year-old man from Johor, who attended the Tabligh event at Selangor while another deceased was a 60-year-old pastor from Kuching, Sarawak. 

The body of the 34-year-old man was safely buried at the Muslim cemetery at 9 pm in Johor Bahru.

According to NST, he was diagnosed with a fever on the 5th of March and confirmed he was one of the victims of COVID-19 at Hospital Permai in Johor Baru on March 12.

On 17th of March, he passed away in Permai Hospital in Johor Bahru and the body arrived from the Sultan Aminah Hospital at 8.16 pm. About 10 men who looked like hospital staff dressed in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) carried his remains to the cemetery.

Due to the seriousness of COVID-19 and in this uncontrollable circumstances, no one is allowed to attend the burial process including the wife and child.

Meanwhile, according to the official page of the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM), there are 790 positive cases of COVID-19 are recorded in Malaysia until the 18th of March.
