Malaysian gymnast Farah Ann Abdul Hadi has safely landed back in Malaysia after an eventful competition in the Tokyo Olympics, of which her unwavering dedication has completely won everyone‘s heart back home. 

To commemorate her debut in representing Malaysia in Gymnastics after a 17-year Olympic drought, here are some interesting facts you might not know about this Malaysian Goddess of Gymnastics.

1. She has her own Barbie molded after her!

It's certainly a dream come true to be able to own a Barbie doll that looks just like them, and Farah Ann is certainly the envy of every child with this achievement. 

2. Back off, gentlemen. She's taken!

She's currently dating Ola Bola The Musical star Brian Chan, and look very cozy together. We wish them well!

3. She's from a mixed heritage

Born to a Malaysian father and a Canadian mother, Farah Ann is getting the very best of both worlds when it comes to culture emergence. How lucky!

4. She has over 7 gold medals under her belt!

This dynamite of a gymnast has made Malaysia proud by collecting more than 10 medals for Malaysia in the SEA games, 7 of which are gold. You go, girl!

5. She started Gymnast when she was at the mere age of three.

You know what they say— legends start young. She first got into gymnastics when a friend of her mother suggested the idea, and the rest is history. 

6. She received international attention over her leotard

Back in 2015, Farah Ann received national backlash, specifically from religious hardliners who deemed her leotard "inappropriate". Luckily, not all Malaysians are overly concerned about what women choose to wear (it's the 21st century!) so they were bombarded with sarcastic retaliation and Farah Ann was backed by the Malaysian public, giving her the ultimate moral support.
