You never run out of good watches.
Released in the beginning of November this year, one of those must-watch(s) is post-apocalyptic K-drama, Happiness.
Set in a post Covid-19 era where another infectious disease (along the likes of zombies and vampires) begins to spread, a cluster of apartments infused with the 'infected' is put under lockdown.
A cop and a SOU officer posing to be a married couple, fights their way to survival with the deadly, higher authority and worse of all, cruel neighbors. Ample of reasons to tune in, but our top 5 have to be these:
#1 Realistic
The drama tackles with what the world could look like post-Covid.
Quarantining and staying away from people being a norm, Happiness portrays the reality of handling yet another virus, preparing to remain indoors for long periods of time, and maintaining SOPs where necessary.
Zombie-vampires aside, a rather relatable background idea.
#2 Teaches lessons
i) Sometimes the worse people are right next to you
Monsters are dangerous, but the scarier ones can be those obsessed with money, status, class and would do anything to get it.
ii) Home is where the heart is
Zombie apocalypse or nah, love is the core of everything, and when you have your people around you, nothing is impossible.
iii) Good can prevail if you let it
Being a good person is a conscious choice, one you choose to make or forego.
#3 Mr. Strong Girl Bong Soon back in action
3 years since Suits (2018) and 4 years since hit show Strong Girl Bong Soon (2017), watching Park Hyung Sik back in K-dramaland is, believe us, not something you'd want to miss.
#4 Main leads: Badass
If not for the zombie-vampires, then do it for the love. The palpable chemistry between the main leads, as well as their brilliance in working with one another, definitely amps it up to a whole new level.
#5 Thrilling
Last but not least, it is after all a thriller, so like it or not, you're bound to get hooked.
